Regreening Forest Park

Community Tree Planting – TD Bank Tree Days, October 24th, 12:00 Noon

URI-Blake_465Regreen Springfield, in partnership with TD Bank, will be planting new street trees on Edgewood Street, in the Bay Neighborhood, on Wednesday, October 24th from 12:00 Noon – 4:00 PM.  Please join your friends, family, and neighbors in the exciting community event.  You will help to restore the green canopy on one of Springfield’s least tree-lined streets and will help to make the neighborhood a bit greener, healthier and more sustainable. Plus, it will look a lot more visually appealing, support wildlife habitat and cool the houses on the street.

We will be meeting at the corner of Edgewood and Acorn Streets at Noon and we proceed from there. You don’t need to know anything about tree planting or have planted a tree in the past, to participate.  We will help you to learn the basics and then you will be ready to regreen the city… one tree at a time.

For more information, call 413/523-0014 or send an email to info@regreenspringfield.org
