Welcome to Regreen Springfield!

Through our tree advocacy efforts, ReGreen Springfield has collaborated with businesses, community organizations, educational partners and government agencies to promote the reforestation of Springfield, improve growing conditions for trees and engage new allies in tree care and monitoring, education and citizen science.  We realize that the strength of our city is found in the neighborhoods. With this as the foundation for our work, we have embarked on an effort to ‘regreen’ the city… one tree at at time.

Please join Regreen Springfield in this reforestation effort by planting a tree in your own yard, helping to plant trees along our streets and in our parks, or donate your time or funds to neighborhood regreening efforts. With your help, Springfield’s urban forest will be restored.

Public Review and Input Sessions on Springfield’s Future Street Tree Landcapes

Please come participate in a public review and comment session that will showcase some landscape design scenarios for Springfield’s Mason Square Neighborhood, in the late 21st century, developed by ReGreen Springfield and its parnters.

Over the past three years, the Harvard School of Design, the Harvard T.H Chan School of Public Health, the Harvard VIZLAB, ReGreen Springfield, and the U.S Forest Service have been collaborating on a design study that examines the future of transportation, roadway systems and natural resources in Springfield, and now we need some input from you… Springfield residents.

Please plan to attend our “Street Trees: A Vizual Experience” on May 20, 2024 at ReGreen Springfield, One Federal Street, Springfield.  There are two sessions, starting at 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM.  Participants will receive a $25 Amazon gift card for attending.
